University of Calicut School of Distance Education, Kerala was established in 1981. Open stream courses are meant to meet the educational needs of those who have not acquired the basic qualification needed for admission to regular courses.

 All who are of the age of 18 years on July, in the year of admission, are eligible for admission to open stream courses. Candidates must clear an entrance examination conducted by the University and secure a minimum of 35% mark.

University of Calicut SDE Admission Criteria

The University’s open stream began in 1987. For admission in the open stream mode, no specific academic qualifications are required for entry through this mode. The minimum requirement is that applicants should be at least of 18 years of age. An entrance examination is conducted for admission.
